Small Group Connection

"As Berean grows larger, we must grow smaller at the same time. We need to be connected to each other. We are a family. We're brothers and sisters in Christ."
Pastor Craig

Are you interested in being connected in a Small Group? We have several groups with openings that would be glad to welcome you in January. Most groups meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of the month. Now is a good time to get started with a new curriculum from Purpose Driven Ministries called “Beginning Life Together.” Please fill out a green card or call Pastor Craig or Sonya at the church office (756-3300) if you would like to join a Small Group.

KEY VERSE: "So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people." Acts 2:46, 47

Why should you join a small group?
Here are four of the most important benefits of small groups:

  1. Friendship- You experience fellowship, community and a sense of family. (I John 1:7)
  2. Acceptance and Encouragement- You have some people who really care about you. (Galatians 6:2)
  3. Prayer Support- You are prayed for during and between meetings. (I Timothy 2:1)
  4. Accountability- You have a "safe" place to talk about our struggles in the Christian life and someone to hold you accountable. (Proverbs 27:17)
"The average church member knows sixty-seven people in the congregation, whether the church has 200 or 2,000 attending. A member does not have to know everyone in the church in order to feel like it's their church, but he or she does have to know someone." Rick Warren- The Purpose-Driven Church

We have Small groups that meet once a week or every other week for worship, fellowship, discipleship and ministry. We also have groups that meet at the church throughout the week. Call 756-3300 to get "Connected" today!

Current Activities

Have you observed communion together yet? Let me suggest that you consider making this a part of your group at least twice a year.

Remember: Small groups should fulfill all 5 purposes of the church: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Evangelism and Ministry. How is your group doing?
