Overview of our Missions Ministry

Berean has a very active Mission Ministry including both support for missionaries and sending our own people on short-term mission trips. Our Mission Ministry is divided as follows with each receiving about one quarter of our mission budget of about $340,000.

Baptist General Conference

This is our national denomination comprised of about 1000 churches and located in Arlington Heights, IL. We support 15 individuals and ministries around the world.

Mideast Baptist Conference

This is our district representing 55 churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and the Washington, DC area. The primary ministry of the MBC is church planting and mobilizing existing churches. Berean supports 7 ministries related to the MBC. We have planted two daughter churches, which have been very blessed by God in reaching many individuals for Jesus Christ. We have plans to plant two more churches in 2004.

Berean Mission Ministry

Berean is actively involving its own people in mission ministry from tutoring at HIS House ministry in Mansfield to yearly mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Ukraine. Our short-term trips include construction projects, English Camps, Children's Adventure Camps, Youth Camps, and Adult ministry.

Other Mission Ministries

Berean supports 14 individuals and ministries that are affiliated with other mission agencies. 7 of these individuals are Berean members who God has called into ministry. We are excited to be a church that is able to send out its own into the mission field.

Ukraine Clothing Ministry

Berean collects GOOD, USED, CLEAN clothing and shoes which we ship twice per year to our sister church in Ukraine. The church has started a small business which employs 28 people, supplies money for church construction, and helps with needs in the congregation along with supplying good reasonably priced clothing to the people of Ukraine.

From Genesis to Revelation, God’s divine purpose is to redeem people from every tongue, tribe and nation — resulting in more worshipers so that He might be glorified. At Berean, we reach out to our community and around the world with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over 20% of all giving is directed to missions. Short-term missions trips give our people the chance to minister in a different culture each year. Conferences and guest appearances from missionaries we support help keep us informed and in step with God’s desire to see his message reach every corner of the earth.
